GARAGEBAND
REVIEWS
of RIGHT THING (Alien
Kabaret 1)
Experimental, original and catchy!
This reminds of the great experimental bands of the late 60's and early
70's - from the Incredible String Band to The Beatles in their Magical
Mystery Tour period. Very hard to pull off but you are really doing
it. I think this is excellent. Clever and effective use of string sounds.
Unusual yet VERY catchy melody and lyrics. Love the changes between
sections, especially going into and coming out of the bridge. I would
love to see you get a recording budget for this - a little more sparkle
and definition in the mix and you would have a very hot track. Good
luck to you!

Good song, good message.
Wow. I like these type of songs.. song and music for "art sake"
without regard to what is poplar at the time..this is creative colorful
stuff..perhaps it's one of the best songs I've heard on the System..A
song like this comes around only one in 50 songs or more..Great musical
talent all the way around..Thank you. "joggyn Smyler"

Brilliant
and original.
great intro, Excellent start to the lyric. It reminds me of early beatles
the strings I think and the last line of the verse. Brilliant and original.
Most original tune I've heard out of two hundred and eleven review pairs.
You got my vote.

Moving Musical
This is the creation of a composer that takes their art very seriously.
Definitely falls into the dramatic 'Musical' category but the style is
taken from original Liverpool psychodelia with instruments from Sgt Pepper
el al. The bass is noticable and enhances the mood. There is a grave message
clearly and feelingly put across by the tuneful vocal who can hit those
top notes well. The intro is original and lays down foundations for the
epic production. The outro was sadly a classic break off and left me wanting
more. Well worth the effort.

Uhm?
This...was kind of scary...and kind of facinating - I can't really decide
which I'm going to call it by - I just think that maybe you should try
something more distinct, and perhaps not quite so...dizzying...or scary.

somethings
gotta give
strange production. this has a beatles feel to it. I find the lyrics get
a little wordy at points but I like the message. The second verse (in
the wordy part) it seemed to come off smoother... I wonder if it is where
the accent hits the words that you are singing. I like this song. The
voice suits the style of the song.

Great
for all the right reasons
Extreme good (odd) & interesting start. The voice surprises from the
start of - what for an androgynous voice (this is special from a female).
The verse is strong and the hookline just perfect. The arrangement gets
me straight to the 60´s but does also remind me on indie outfits
from the late 80´s (Throwing Muses comes into my mind). I like this
straight forward mix to (its not possible to tell what is real - is it
all samples? - no its to dynamic!)
A really good song with a fine balance between rock/pop tradition and
inventive lunacy!
Compliments
Thanx
